Jobs Posted Nov 5, 2004University of Missouri - St. LouisCenter for Transportation StudiesAssociate DirectorThis position is a non-tenure track regular term (nine-month) appointment as Associate Director and Research Professor in the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and conduct research in waterways and related areas of transportation and logistics; teaching in the areas of Transport Economics, Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management: and assisting the Director of the Center with administrative duties as they arise. This position will require teaching two to three courses per year in the College of Business and/or the College of Arts and Sciences.
Essential tasks that must be performed:
This position requires the holder to have a Ph.D. in Transportation, Economics, Logistics or related degree; a record of directing significant related research studies and demonstrated teaching abilities. The successful candidate should be well recognized in his or her field and known for performing outstand work.
The Associate Director will need to maintain a regular schedule of open office hours and hours by appointment.
The holder of this position will be provided with a desktop computer, Internet access, campus e-mail and access to a printer.
The holder of this position will be expected to perform these duties in a professional manner and to abide by the Collected Rules and Regulation of the University Systems. The holder of this position reports directly to the Director of the Center, Deans, and Provost. This position will require a series of one-year appointments. This position will be reviewed annually.
